What's up, y'all!
I'm usually known as Easel Cathedral, but I’ll also answer to Trahern. Columbia is home to an incredible community of creators and you’ll find me capturing that with my travel easel. If you see me around town, come say hello!
Shop: Unique antiques and vintage finds fill Re-Find from floor to ceiling, but this isn’t some dusty traditional second-hand shop. Vendors fill their booths with mid-century modern furniture, retro art, and one-of-a-kind clothing.
Insider Tip: The last Friday of each month Re-Find hosts The Night Market, where they stay open late and serve drinks and food to shoppers.
Pop the cork: Vino Garage is a small wine shop packing a big selection. Order a drink from their 8 beer taps or 20 wines by the glass and build your own charcuterie board. Enjoy your selections on their shaded patio.
Get Creative: Main Street is full of public art that really defines Columbia. From the hanging drums to the sculptures of Boyd Plaza, there is so much to see. A favorite of locals and visitors alike, the Hope statue shows both the Columbia flag and South Carolina’s motto, While I Breathe, I Hope. If you're looking for more information about the public art around Columbia, check out One Columbia.
Night Out: For me, The Joint is a great place to paint, but for you, it’s a great place to enjoy live music. Walking down Main Street, you’ll hear the jazz from a block away. This spot is great for a quick drink as you bar hop around downtown or for a whole evening of entertainment.
Insider Tip: this is a favorite spot of several ambassadors. You’ll regularly find Mark Rapp up on stage!
