Ice hockey returns to Columbia, S.C.
American Collegiate Hockey Association announces final rankings, schedule for 2011 tournament

 

COLUMBIA, S.C. - (February 14, 2011) - The American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) announced rankings and scheduling for their 2011 South Regional Tournament to be held at Plex Indoor Sports & Ice in Columbia, S.C. February 18-19, 2011.

The teams are ranked and scheduled as follows:

Games on Saturday, February 19, will be held at 8:30 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 4:15 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. The Saturday match-ups will be announces at the conclusions of Friday's games. Tickets are $10 per game or $15 for a weekend pass. Plex Indoor Sports & Ice is located at 1019 Broad Stone Road in Irmo, S.C.

About the ACHA
The American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) began as a men's collegiate hockey league in 1991, and quickly grew to a league of over 150 teams in three men's divisions. The Women's Division 2 was added in 2006, and the ACHA currently boasts five divisions with over 375 teams from across the nation. The purpose of the ACHA is to support quality, unity and regulation of intercollegiate hockey programs nationwide. In order to do this, the ACHA has developed organization By-Laws and a Policies and Procedures Manual to provide the policy foundation for the organization as it works to fulfill its purpose. These documents are reviewed yearly at the ACHA's annual meeting. The American Collegiate Hockey Association is a chartered non-profit corporation.
