Columbia, SC - (November 15, 2010) - The Columbia Regional Sports Council is pleased to announce the long-awaited return of the Columbia Marathon. The 2012 Columbia Marathon will be held Saturday, March 10. It is USATF certified and a Boston Qualifier event. The race is being lead by Race Director, Dan Hartley. Hartley can be reached at dan@columbiascmarathon.com or at 803.730.3663.
The point-to-point marathon will start in Ballentine, crossing Lake Murray Dam, through Lexington, West Columbia and into downtown Columbia through The Vista and Five Points. The finish line will be at the State House.
A point-to-point half-marathon, kid's marathon, school challenge and corporate challenge will also be offered. Registration information along with sponsors and charity information will be released as soon as it becomes available. For updates, visit the website at http://www.columbiascmarathon.com/.
