New Year’s Eve is the one time of the year when everyone can come together to reminisce about the past 365 days and celebrate the start of a new year ahead. It’s a time to be shared with family, friends and community over food, fun — and *of course* loads of fireworks.
Columbia, S.C rings in the new year with a bang (literally) at the annual Famously Hot New Year celebration — S.C.’s largest NYE party.
What does FHNY entail? Think live music from an international headliner, local food vendors, beer and bubbly, the biggest NYE fireworks show in S.C. and more. Oh yeah, and it’s free. If that isn’t enough to make you eager to join in the fun at FHNY, here are seven can’t-miss moments at S.C.’s free party of the year.
Dance along to Elle King’s hit songs
Dance the night away to “Ex’s and Oh’s,” “America’s Sweetheart” and more of two-time GRAMMY nominated singer Elle King’s hits. Singer-songwriter, guitarist, bassist and banjoist Elle King’s sound is a unique assemblage of rock, blues, soul and country. A musical force to be reckoned with, King will bring the party to Columbia’s Main Street, headlining Famously Hot New Year with a free, full-length outdoor concert (cue happy dance.)
