EdVenture Children's Museum is proud to present EdStravaGanza on May 5 at 7:00 pm. The museum's largest fundraiser and one of Columbia's premier charity events will set the stage for adults to celebrate the power of play as they engage in creative activities, music, and special performances throughout the evening.
Inquisitive minds are invited to play the night away at tinkering stations throughout the museum to include light painting, plastic fusing, martini mixing and designing individual art tiles that will become part of a huge mosaic created that night.
Live entertainment will be provided by Alternacirque, South Carolina's premiere alternative circus art company. A tribal belly dancer, fire juggler, hoop spinner, stilt walker and aerialist will bring an atmosphere of magic and mystique to the night with mesmerizing body moves, tricks and spins combined with mind-numbing speed. Music by Cravin' Melon, cocktails, hors d' oeuvres, and a silent auction will be held throughout the museum.
"The power of play is at the foundation of a child's ability to learn and grow and at the core of our mission at EdVenture. EdStravaGanza will give adults a chance to spark their imagination and reconnect with the sense of wonder, creativity and fun we get through play ' something many of us forget as we move from childhood to becoming adults,' says director of marketing, Wayne Thornley.

Make a day of your visit to Columbia and stop by the South Carolina State Museum before the event, located right next door. You're also just a short drive away from the Vista, filled with a variety of restaurants and shopping to fill your afternoon.
