Happy 50th birthday, Historic Columbia Foundation! Celebrate with them this Friday, November 9 at their 50th Birthday Bash beginning at 7:00 pm at the Robert Mills House & Gardens.The birthday bash celebrates the Foundation's progress and wraps up its year-long 50th anniversary celebration.
This grand party will provide an evening filled with fabulous food, dancing, antique cars, music, silent auction and retro cocktails. Come decked out in your vintage early 1960s evening wear to celebrate the 1961 beginning of the Historic Columbia Foundation and its successful attempt at saving the Robert Mills House from demolition.
Vintage cars and fashion will be on display, including a 1914 Model T Ford, 1966 Ford Mustang convertible and a 1957 pink Cadillac. There will also be a lineup of vintage fashion, courtesy of Lake Murray Treasures.
Delicious food from local sponsors will be available such as a roast pork carving station from the Inn at USC, penne and smoked gouda pasta salad from Earth Fare, pimento cheese from the Blue Marlin and 48 various cakes from Nonnah's. That's right, 48 cakes!
The Robert Mills House will be open for tours during the party.

Wrap up the weekend with a walk through the Historic Heathwood district as part of Historic Columbia's Second Sunday Strolls. Tour meets at Heathwood Park and lasts between 30 - 60 minutes. Only $6 for adults, $3 for youth -- call 803-252-1770 (ext.24) to reserve your place.
