Burgers on the grill, boats in the water and fireworks flying through the southern air...it's almost 4th of July weekend, y'all. Don't stress over making plans. We've rounded up 5 of our favorite ways to celebrate in and around Columbia SC, so get out your red, white + blue digs and pack a cooler. It's time to have some fun.

Nothing says 4th of July quite like a day on the lake. Each year, boaters from across the state decorate their rides for the annual Lake Murray boat parade-a holiday tradition to many South Carolinians. The day ends with fireworks at dusk. Dreamy.
