Catch MLK Freedom Fest and the rescheduled Alabama 50th Anniversary Tour at Colonial Life Arena, UofSC School of Music’s Columbia Baroque Concert: “The Musical World of Shakespeare’s Plays,Charlie Wilson, Riley Green, and Festival of Laughs at Township Auditorium, CMA Chamber Music on Main and More Than Rhythm: A Black Music Series with Dr. Tony McNeill at Columbia Museum of Art and Beethoven & Blue Jeans, The Palmetto Opera Presents Rigoletto and Jersey Boys at Koger Center for the Arts

Museum Programming

The Columbia Museum of Art has got it going on this month, from the final days of its traveling exhibit to thoughtful programming. 

30 Americans wraps up its run on MLK Jr. Day, so pop in and peruse the collection before it sadly leaves us. And speaking of MLK Jr. Day, visit the museum on Jan. 17 to join the Friends of African American Art & Culture in bidding farewell to 30 Americans with FAAAC Presents 30 Americans: A Storytelling Celebration. Then come back later in the day to participate in the Let’s Talk Race Community Conversation.
