Order up pints, flights and more March 17 – 24 during Soda City Suds Week, Columbia’s very own independent craft beer celebration! Here we have a rundown of some of the events happening throughout the week where you can cheers to everything frothy, hoppy and oh so refreshing.
Be there for the beginning of it all (and check out the new brewery in town while you’re at it) at the Kick-Off to Soda City Suds Week at the Hunter-Gatherer Brewery located in the historic Curtiss-Wright Hangar at Owens Field. Pro tip - hang out on the rooftop to take in those brews with some killer views.
On Sundays, we brunch. So drag your post-St. Pat’s, post-Kick-Off self to Craft and Draft and rally like the champ you are. Food will be available, as well as a lineup of brunch-themed beers. Park it at a picnic table on the back patio and soak up that afternoon sun.
A workout this week is just what the doctor ordered to help burn off some of the liquid carbs. Side Plank, Downward Dog and Warrior pose your way to the ice-cold Conquest pint waiting for you at the end – you’ve earned it!
Beer and beef jerky go together like… well, I guess we’ll find out! Swing by Indah Coffee, one block over from Cottontown Brew Lab, to see how these new beers in town bring out the flavors of Two Brothers Jerky’s Bull City Original, Famously Hot and Ginger Teriyaki. #yum
Have you ever wanted to learn more about the process behind making some of your favorite beers? Come armed with all of your burning questions, as Twisted Spur’s Head Brewer will be on hand to tell you anything you want to know, all while serving up a wide variety of their offerings.
Grab a brush and get to work on creating something colorful on canvas all while trying out the various options at one of Columbia’s newest breweries. Bring home your painting and a growler of the Columbia Craft Lager or one of the bright and fruity Carolina Weisse Sours.
Think you know any and all things beer-related? Test your knowledge with some trivia in the Beer Den of Lexington’s Lowe’s Foods. Compete for prizes and even if you don’t win, you get to drink beer and we call that a win in our book!
#TacoTuesday gets kicked up a notch this week with a special Taco and Beer Pairing at The Whig. A focus on Mexican lagers and pepper beer further plays up to the theme and we are here for it.
Raise your glass to a good cause! Come to Craft and Draft to support our furry friends through Pawmetto Lifeline while sipping on a featured lineup from local brewery, Swamp Cabbage. [Insert puppy dog eyes here.]

Arts & Draughts at Columbia Museum of Art | March 23, 7 – 11 p.m.
“Art, drink, and be happy” at Columbia Museum of Art for the springtime installment of Arts & Draughts.
