Fall

When the weather gets crisp and the leaves start to turn, you know the fun in Columbia is about to get kicked up a notch. Harvest festivals, outdoor concerts and street fairs are just the beginning.

Transition your wardrobe into garnet and black and gear up for the return of South Carolina Gamecock Football. Immerse yourself in music, food, art and history at Historic Columbia’s annual Jubilee: Festival of Black History & Culture. Eat your way around the world at the Columbia Greek Festival, Oktoberfest Columbia (prost, y’all!) and the Korean Festival. Or indulge in seasonal flavors at the Irmo Okra Strut, Palmetto Peanut Boil, South Carolina Oyster Festival and the Five Points Chili Cook-Off. Share in the love at the SC Famously Hot Pride Festival. Rock out at JerryFest and Jam Room Music Festival. Fill up on corn dogs, funnel cakes and all things fried, then hit up the rides at the South Carolina State Fair (or should that be the other way around?). Pull all kinds of tricks with your friends at Deceased Farm, then savor all the treats with your little ones at Boo at the Zoo this spooky season.

Autumn is also the perfect time to get that brisk air pumping through your lungs. Lace up your sneaks and hit the streets of Columbia for the Walk for Life and Famously Hot Pink Half Marathon, USMC Mud Run, Tunnel 2 Towers, and more.
