US Foods opened its first Chef’Store in South Carolina and only its third wholesale, cash-and-carry food and restaurant supply outlet in the nation.
The 37,000-square-foot facility at 655 St. Andrews Road is stocked with more than 4,000 pantry staples ranging from a gallon jug of barbecue sauce to 50-pound bags of onions to 30-pound bags of snow crab clusters.
The store also stocks commercial kitchen equipment as well as items like serving trays and skillets.
Chef’Store does not charge a membership fee and is focused on serving chefs, restaurant owners, operators of institutional kitchens like churches, and the general public, the company said.
