Things to Do & See

The Three Rivers Greenway, a 12 1/2 mile, and growing, linear park located in the cities of Columbia, West Columbia and Cayce, SC is a series of beautiful riverfront pathways – where the Broad, Saluda, and Congaree Rivers meet – with lighted trails and boardwalks, outdoor amphitheaters, restrooms and breathtaking views in a dog-friendly and ADA-accessible environment that everyone can enjoy.

River Alliance Projects

Newly opened Saluda Riverwalk, built along the scenic Swiftwater of the Saluda River, runs behind the Riverbanks Zoo. Along the Saluda Riverwalk, you will see people tubing, canoeing and kayaking on the water, geese floating in the river and other wildlife and flowers while listening to wild animal sounds! You’ll also find great areas to fish for trout or stripers. This is one of the only places in the country where you’ll find hanging Spanish Moss and whitewater rapids meet.

Whether you are visiting, strolling along the Greenway, or wanting more information on our other projects, we hope you enjoy what our three cities have to offer. View Three Rivers Greenway map here.

The River Alliance is the non-profit organization that makes it all possible. Representing the five local governments of Columbia, West Columbia, Cayce, Lexington and Richland County, The River Alliance’s mission is to connect people to the rivers, making them accessible, yet protected.

Through the work of the River Alliance and its many partners, the rivers have become a stimulus for economic development, an attraction for regional tourism and an opportunity for local residents to enjoy the history, culture and natural surroundings of the Riverbank Region’s three rivers.
