Hi, I’m Bianca Shelton, an entrepreneur, wife and new mommy to a rambunctious toddler. Most days you can find me at SOCO working, brunching on the weekend and exploring local parks and splash pads with my family. Columbia is constantly changing and is exciting place to explore. I hope you enjoy rediscovering the city as much as I do.

Family Friendly: It’s a children’s museum, but it’s just as fun for parents and family as well. From exploring Eddie, the World’s Largest Kid, to trying out different careers like firefighter, pilot and vet, kids learn a lot and truly enjoy it!

Insider Tip: Check out the toddler room and grocery store.

Dig In: The best days in Columbia start with brunch, and the Gourmet Shop is known as a local favorite around here. Enjoy the sound of champagne bottle popping as you settle in to peruse their menu of fresh salads, soups and sandwiches.

Inhale, exhale: Balance that Gourmet Shop Brunch out with a little movement at Club Pilates. This fitness studio, located in Forest Acres, promises approachable but challenging classes for all fitness levels.

Wild Adventure: Riverbanks is a fun spot to visit year-round, but their holiday events are a must. Dress up for Boo at the Zoo or get in the holiday spirit with Lights at the Zoo. While we love to make it a family affair, Riverbanks Zoo also hosts wine tastings and Brew at the Zoo.

Insider Tip: Don't miss the fish and invertebrates exhibit in the newly renovated Boyd Aquarium and Reptile Conservation Center.

Happy Hour: Creative cocktails and a prime location make Boku the perfect happy hour spot with girlfriends. Located in the Vista, this colorful and energetic pan-Asian restaurant is only steps away from great concerts, theaters and art galleries.
