Columbia, S.C. - (October 9, 2014) The Columbia Regional Sports Council (CRSC) is proud to assist the Lexington County Recreation & Aging Commission (LCRAC) in hosting the 2014 USTA Junior Team Tennis National Championships which will take place in Lexington County from Oct. 16-19 and again Oct. 23-26.

The matches will be played at Cayce Tennis and Fitness Center at Ottarre Pointe and Lexington County Tennis Complex. This will be the third consecutive year that this national competition has taken place in Lexington County.
Scott Powers, executive director of CRSC, said, "The CRSC is thrilled to once again work with Lexington County Recreation and Aging Commission to host this fantastic national event."
Approximately 1,200 people are expected to attend the tournament including over 500 players, as well as coaches, parents and families. The USTA contracted a block of over 1,000 rooms at the Columbia Marriott. The estimated economic impact of the championship is $517,562.

"From the facilities at the Cayce and Lexington tennis centers, to the players' party at the convention center and the Marriott host hotel, we have shown these players from all over the nation what true hospitality is all about."
