St. Patrick's Day in Columbia SC
While it may seem like a minor holiday to some, Saint Patrick’s Day in Columbia SC is much more than drinking green beer. In fact, our locals take it pretty seriously and it all stems from the time-honored tradition: St. Pat's in Five Points. With 42 years of history and upwards of 30,000 attendees each year, this event has become one of the largest festivals in the Southeast. It brings in bands from across the U.S. and across multiple genres of music. The 2024 festival lineup includes headliners Lawrence, The War and Treaty, Futurebirds, Sister Hazel and Conner Smith along with a host of other regional and local bands across four stages. Beyond the main event, there's that Get to the Green race, St Pat’s Parade, and Pot O’ Gold Playland, the popular family-fun area, returns to satisfy all of your tribe's St. Patrick’s Day needs. Want some pro tips for next year? We have a blog for that including where to get that traditional green beer.
If you can't make it to the festival this year, plan your trip for other St. Pat's themed events at local venues like Tin Roof where there will be live music (and more green beer, of course,) or take part in the Five Points "Official Kick-Off."
