Whether they're bringing new life to historic sites around town or tucked into the bustling Vista district, our breweries are the embodiment of our small town that’s all grown up. From River Rat’s 803 IPA to Steel Hands Pecan Brown Ale brews are inspired by local flavors and hometown pride. Don’t be surprised if you find something unexpected flowing from the taps though. Our local brewers are known to think on their feet and get creative as the seasons change.
Beyond the beer, each brewery has its own vibe. You can find open biergartens perfect for a beer yoga at Swamp Cabbage, games to entertain your kid-crew at Columbia Craft, and live music that keeps the fun going all night at Savage Craft – just to name a few.
In addition to the breweries themselves, craft beer-related activities have popped up as well. Such as, the Pedal Parlor, an unusual looking contraption, tasks groups with pedaling their way from brewery to brewery. Oktoberfest activities in the fall are held at multiple breweries and will have you raising your glass and ordering that second pretzel. Prost! Taste brews from across the Palmetto State at the Best of SC Craft Beer Festival located right here in the Vista. Time to celebrate the tastier things in life!
Stay tuned for updates on the newest brewery coming to the Heart of SC, Peak Drift Brewing Company!
