Each of these spots have their loyalists, but the truth is you can't go wrong with this classic fast food dessert from these two local spots. At Zestos you'll spot the big dipped cone in the sky before you even pull into the parking lot. At Rosewood Dairy Bar, you can go for the traditional or branch out with dip like blue raspberry. 

Sweet Cream Co

Tucked into Main Street, Sweet Cream Co has been churning out delightful ice cream flavors for years. They work with local farms like Cottle Strawberry Farm to create treats unique to Columbia SC.

Robinson Room

When you call yourself a cocktails and dessert bar, you better know your sweet treats. Enjoy a dessert from either their seasonal or signature menu while taking in the exotic wall paper and sparkling chandeliers. Both the desserts and the decor will transport you. 

Alfajores | Ratio

Peruvian flavors take center stage at Ratio where Chef Javier Uriate shares his expertise in the form of tapas. You'll find a variety of desserts on the menu, but the Alfajores are something special. 

Seasonal Cheesecake | D's Wings

You might be wondering what a wing joint knows about cheesecake, but let us assure you, you won't be disappointed. No matter the time of year, D's delivers on the flavor. While we aren't ones to pick favorites, the blueberry in springtime really shouldn't be missed. 

Almond Basket | Colas Restaurant

We've heard the Almond Basket from Colas described as a "giant Frosted Flake" so, naturally, we are on board. Served with vanilla bean ice cream and fresh berries. We recommend not sharing because, well, #selfcare. 

Cookie Butter Crepe | Lula Drake

Leave it to Lula to surprise + delight. The light crepe and the decadent combo cookie butter and mascarpone are just the dessert for cozying up in the back corner of Lula Drake. 

Cheesecake | Villa Tronco

Carmella's Famous (seriously) cheesecake is the perfect nightcap to an authentic Italian meal at Columbia's oldest restaurant Villa Tronco. You can get fancy with amaretto, chocolate, Oreo or marble, but we recommend plain for the sake of tradition. 

French Silk Pie | Za's on Devine

(Almost) too pretty to eat + also available in a peanut butter variety. We heart you, Za's. 

Peanut Butter Banana Cheesecake | Motor Supply

The dessert duo of the Gods, amirite? Ask Motor Supply bar to shake you up a nightcap to pair with your dessert + grab a spot on the porch if it's warm. Bliss. 

Beignet | Bourbon

When you boast a Cajun-Creole cuisine, it would be almost sinful not to offer a beignet. These fluffy delights are the perfect way to end an evening. 

Bourbon Cream Pie | The War Mouth

Light + fluffy with a crunchy and sweet crust, the bourbon cream pie at The War Mouth is the stuff of dreams. 

Tollhouse Cookie Pie | Kaminsky's

A Kaminsky's classic, the Tollhouse Cookie Pie is a cookie-dough, caramel and pecan-filled delight - from the first bite to the last.
