In the restaurant world Monday is typically the slowest day in-house, after a long weekend of wine-ing, dining, and brunching some restaurants choose the first day of the week to take a break. But for those wanting to take time off from the kitchen we’ve got the scoop on all restaurants offering full-service on Mondays.

Blue Marlin 

Lowcountry flavors in the Midlands, including award-winning shrimp & grits. Open for indoor dining, patio dining and available for takeout food and carry out wine specials (by the bottle). Located in The Vista.

Boku

A menu that has something to suit everyone, this Pan-Asian inspired restaurant has everything homemade from noodles to kimchi. Open for dinner service, get it to go, sit in their dining room, or grab an original crafted cocktail at the bar. Located in The Vista.

Cantina 76

Monday blues? House margaritas are half off here from 4-7 p.m. This laid-back atmosphere with specialty tacos and signature drinks is perfect at one of their tables outside. Located on Main Street and Devine Street. 

Dano’s

Stop in for of a slice of this authentic New York-style eatery. A Columbia staple open for 18 years, their menu has the makings of a great comfort meal with options like veal parmesan, man-n-cheese bites, and pizza (of course). Located in Rosewood. 

Goat’s

Open for dinner, spoil yourself with a wine flight after a long Monday. The chill vibe and serene music make the perfect ambiance to match the original plates. With entrees like beef bourguignon and oyster po-boys, Goat’s has a bite of the world right here in Columbia. Located in Five Points. 

Good Life Café 

Vegan dishes with loads of flavor and promises of healthiness to energize your day, stop in for a plant-based alternative to your favorite dishes. With a wide array of flavors and dishes this menu has everything from nachos to cocktails. Have your acai bowl on the outside patio. Running late? Their grab & go market is filled with dips, salads, juices and desserts. Located on Main Street. 

Halls Chophouse

Views of the South Carolina State House, steak that cuts like butter and a crowd that is sure to impress. Have a well-deserved night out or a romantic date night, just be sure to order The 434. Reservations are strongly encouraged for this hot spot. Located on Main Street.

Home Team BBQ

Classic pulled pork plates, smoked wings and the infamous Gamechanger - trust us. This chill atmosphere is the perfect place to bring the kiddos for an early week gift, just order your favorite ‘que on a board and feed the whole family. Located in Five Points.

Black Rooster

This Italian restaurant serves delightful cocktails, small bites and full entrees that bring together local ingredients with Italian style cooking. Make sure you get there in time for happy hour for $10 Royal with Cheese or Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich. Located in West Columbia.

Jack Brown’s

Because you deserve to treat yourself in life, especially to a delicious burger. Grab the Monday specialty burger, the When in Roam..., which is obviously topped pimento cheese, among other things. Bonus, if their menu has you sure you’ll be back ask about their exclusive beer club. Located in Five Points.

Kao Thai

Housed in the former Columbia Central Fire Station, they have a modern take on Thai cuisine and a large array of craft brews. With flavors that will kick you into gear for the week their menu is filled with options to please all pallets. Located in The Vista. 

Main Course

75 self-serving beer taps accompany elevated bar food featuring their famous Guchabang sauce shrimp. Hosting the opportunity for virtual games like golfing, dodgeball, and hockey, because you deserve a night of fun. Located on Main Street.

NOMA Bistro Mediterranean Grill

Have a night under the stars (and fairy lights) on this quaint patio housing some great cuisine. The wide variety of flavors on the menu is the perfect spot to try something new, create your own bowl, indulge in a signature dish, or have a Mediterranean take on your favorite pizza. Located on Main Street.

Midwood Smokehouse

Complete with reheating instructions and family-sized combination platters, avoid the mess and get takeout tonight, even if it is just you and the pup, no judgments. Choose any four proteins including brisket and sausage, and two sides, then your choice of two sides. Publico Kitchen & Tap

With $2 tacos and $4 margaritas on Mondays, they’re basically calling your name to the patio at this point. Make it a night out with friends and share a chips trio or an order of edamame. In the winter be sure to reserve an igloo while you study which tacos to get. Do you dare try the grasshopper? Located in Five Points.

You made it through Monday, celebrate with $7 beer flights all night long while enjoying their elevated bar menu. Are you in the service industry? Show a current pay stub for discounts on food and drinks. Located in the Vista.

Southern Belly BBQ

If you’re looking for something quick and casual for dinner tonight, grab a barbecue sandwich at Southern Belly. They offer a variety of toppings and original sauces available to personalize your perfect sandwich. Starving? Wookie size it if you dare… Located in Five Points.

Za’s Brick Oven Pizza

Happy Monday! Here there’s Happy Hour from 4-6 PM, take advantage of $2.50 domestic beers. Go classic and build your own pizza or go savory with the Carolina carbonara. Don’t’ worry, you’ll have leftovers to take for lunch on Tuesday. Located in Five Points.
