Blarney! On March 18th, Columbia, SC will become a sea of green for the 35th Annual St. Pat's in Five Points celebration. And you're in luck, because we have everything you need to know to make the most of the weekend's festivities!
The O'fficial Kick-Off
Get hyped for the holiday at the Official Kick-Off to St. Pat's in Five Points on March 3rd as the Five Points fountain gets dyed green. Irish entertainment including bagpipers and Rince N'ah Erieann dancers will be on hand. And don't leave without getting a four-leaf clover painted onto your cheek!
Get to the Green
Start early and earn free entry into the festival with the Get to the Green 15K, 10K, 5K & Fun Run. That first pint afterward will feel like finding the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
You'll be doing a jig as more than 20 national, regional and local bands play on five stages. The line-up this year includes St. Paul & The Broken Bones, Michael Ray, Superchunk, Drivin' N Cryin' and more. You can find the schedule here and map out which shows you want to see in advance!
Head over to Harden Street for a pair of headphones and an afternoon of dancing at the Silent Disco.
Finally, be sure to check out the Bluegrass stage on Santee Avenue, a new addition to the festival this year.
Little Lads and Lassies
Take your wee ones to join in on the fun! Watch the St. Pat's Parade wind its way through Devine Street and Five Points, then pop over to the Pot O' Gold Playland at Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Park.
Festival-goers can also shop handmade items, refuel at local and regional food trucks, catch a few March Madness games, visit the new Craft Beer Tasting Room and write a special message on the "St. Pat's Wall" - an interactive, oversized chalkboard.
Get your tickets for $15 in advance, $20 day-of or go all out with the $95 St. Pat's Saluda's VIP Experience, which includes festival admission, food, an open bar, balcony access and restrooms.
