The Lexington County Chronicle is a newspaper started at the request of Lexington County residents to fill a local news void created by out-of-state ownership of other newspapers in the area. It is locally owned and operated. The Chronicle acquired its local competitor, The Dispatch-News in 2001 and combined it with the Chronicle to create an even greater newspaper.
The Chronicle is published each Thursday and mailed to subscribers by periodicals class permit. Additional copies are sold in stores and street vending boxes throughout the county.
