The Nickelodeon Theatre, Columbia's art house theater on Main Street, is a leading Southeastern arts organization engaging our community by providing thought-provoking film programming, offering media education classes and fostering the creation of new work by providing training and support to media artists.
‘The Nick’ uses a 99 seat theatre to screen over 100 films, 362 days each year. The organization hosts special screenings by both local and national independent filmmakers, and hosts the nationally renowned Indie Grits Festival each April. The Nickelodeon also programs and hosts annual events such as the Columbia Jewish Film Festival, Columbia International Black Film Festival, Latin American Film Festival, and Southern Circuit Touring Filmmaker Series.
