From decadent and high-end to healthy and hearty, smoothies truly embody the tastes of summer. There are so many combinations – from savory to sweet to packed with veggies, fruit and natural sweeteners. Here’s where you can find some smoothie favorites in Columbia SC.

Tasty as Fit

Tasty as Fit serves up whole food, plant-based goodies including grab-and-go smoothies with unexpected ingredients. The Chocolate Frosty Smoothie is an indulgent mix of cacao powder, zucchini,  banana, cauliflower, coconut-cream and dates. Or get refreshed with Hydration Station –  frozen kale, zucchini, pineapple, frozen coconut water cubes , avocado, ginger, hemp seeds and raw honey. The Manglow mixes cauliflower rice with mango and turmeric and the Mint-Choc Chip (my fav) is a soothing combination of organic banana, zucchini, cauliflower rice, coconut cream, cashew butter, cacao nibs and peppermint.

Good Life Café

Raw vegan foods, juices and smoothies are the specialties at Good Life Café. Their smoothies are vegan and gluten free and range in flavors from the Super Green with pineapple, mango, kale, spinach, agave nectar and almond milk to the luxurious Funky Monkey with banana, cacao, almond butter, dates, agave nectar and almond milk. Patrons can also mix and match their favorite ingredients to create their own smoothie.

The Groove Smoothie and Juice Bar

The smoothies are delicious at this old school music-inspired smoothie and juice bar located on the Garner’s Ferry Road. Be prepared to snap your fingers and tap your feet as you order smoothies like Sweet Love inspired by R&B great Anita Baker including strawberry, mango banana and almond milk, and Purple Rain inspired by Prince and made of blueberries, strawberries acai, bananas and yogurt. Or order My Prerogative (Bobby Brown) to get your green smoothie fix with avocado, mange, pineapple and spinach.

The Corner Blend

Transport yourself to the flavors of the islands with one of the smoothies at The Corner Blend. With names like the Islander, Tropi-Kale and Pinacolada (of course) including pineapple, mango coconut milk and fresh greens, the only things missing are the sun, surf and sand.

The Well Cafe

The smoothies here have notes of nostalgia with treats like Mama’s Muffins filled with blueberries, strawberries, banana, oats, and a dash of cinnamon that taste just like mama made it. Or try the Strawberry Stefani for an early 2000’s vibe (it’s bananas) featuring a different take on a strawberry banana smoothie. Or pair your smoothie with one of their popular acai bowls.

Manny’s in West Columbia

In addition to a variety of shaved ice, ice cream, milk shakes and street corn (yes, I’m screaming), Manny’s in West Columbia has an impressive menu of smoothies. Options range from detox and green smoothies to fruit options like VerryBerry and Folly Peach, as well as smoothies to satisfy your sweet tooth (Choco Banana Pie and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup). Don’t forget to pair it with STREET CORN.
