Whether they're bringing new life to historic sites around town or tucked into the bustling Vista district, our breweries are the embodiment of our small town that’s all grown up. From River Rat’s 803 IPA to Steel Hands Iced Tea Ale brews are inspired by local flavors and hometown pride. Don’t be surprised if you find something unexpected flowing from the taps though. Our local brewers are known to think on their feet and get creative as the seasons change.
Beyond the beer, each brewery has its own vibe. You can find open biergartens perfect for a beer yoga at Swamp Cabbage, games to entertain your kid-crew at Columbia Craft, and live music that keeps the fun going all night at Savage Craft – just to name a few.
In addition to the breweries themselves, craft beer-related activities have popped up as well. The Columbia Brew Bus shuttles groups to each brewery and gives an oral history of the city’s storied beer history. The Pedal Parlor, an unusual looking contraption, tasks groups with pedaling their way from brewery to brewery. Soda City Suds Week, an independent week-long celebration of craft beer, takes place each March and is capped off with Cream of the Crop, the city’s premier beer festival.
Due to COVID-19, some shuttle services may have changed their hours of operation or be closed. Check their websites for more recent updates before booking.
