Drake’s Duck In on Main Street offers breakfast plates and chicken and waffles if you’re dining in and breakfast sandwiches perfect for grab-and-go on the way to the course. Opens at 7:30am weekdays and 8am on weekends.
If you need to make the first tee time of the day, never fear. Lizard’s Thicket is open at 6am with dine-in and drive through breakfast featuring omelets for that protein fix or homemade biscuits and gravy as well as breakfast platters and sandwiches. And with over a dozen locations around the Columbia region, you can map one out on the way to the course.
If you have a bit of time to spare, Ruby Sunshine in Five Points offers New Orleans-inspired brunch items like Bananas Foster French Toast and Shrimp and Grits along with an array of Bloody Marys, Mimosas and Bellinis.
Post-Round Bites and Sips
Columbia’s brewery scene is thriving and offers a variety of options for post-round relaxation perfect for a group of friends or the whole family. From Columbia Craft in downtown Columbia, Hazelwood Brewing Company in Lexington, or Savage Craft Ale Works in West Columbia, there’s going to be an option near the course or your hotel with upscale bar bites, local brews, live music and an option for outdoor seating.
If a celebration is in order, Halls Chophouse offers steaks and cocktails in an urban setting just steps from the South Carolina State House. Just down Main Street, try Smoked for oysters, steaks and a decadent Wagyu burger. Black Rooster serves Italian dishes in West Columbia with one of the best views around.

With regional locations in both Forest Acres and Chapin, Pro-Swing Columbia offers a golf simulator experience that you can book by the hour or 9- or 18-hole rounds.
The Players Club on Main Street offers 8 full swing simulators, a putting green and full bar in a members-only setting, which is worth investigating if you work or entertain in Columbia on a frequent basis. They also offer rentals for small groups on in their 4th floor academy space to non-members based on availability.
Frankie’s Fun Park is easy to access from I-26 and has three 18-hole mini-golf courses in addition to bumper boats, go-cart tracks, an arcade and more.
