Covered in pimento cheese, doused in cinnamon sugar or even dipped in vanilla ice cream (don't knock it 'till you try it). We couldn't possibly name all of the best fries in #RealColumbiaSC because we'd be keeping you from getting your fry fix. Here are just a few places to get you started. Tell us your favorites!

1. Café Strudel

Tossed in duck fat, truffle oil, sea salt, black pepper and served with a side of green onion aioli – this is the way of the fry basket at Café Strudel. Oh, and you can add smoked gouda mornay sauce & bacon. You might want to bring a friend to finish this one.

2. Goat’s

This hidden gem in Five Points puts a spin on your typical Canadian Poutine - French fries with gravy, cheese curds and duck confit. Enough said. Not to mention their wine list and moody vibe are perfect for date night.

3. Market on Main

If you ask anyone who's been there, they'll probably tell you that ordering the Truffle Frites from Market on Main is a must. Paired with their house smoked ketchup and huge lawn right on Main Street, you might never want to leave.

4. Peace of Soul

We can't forget waffle fries. But would you expect them to be gluten free and soy free? At Peace of Soul, you can get all the benefits of a vegan, organic meal without cutting the flavor. Try these crispy waffle fries with their Fried "Chicken" Sandwich - a best seller for years.

5. Jack Brown's Burgers

French fry preference is a personal thing, especially for lovers of crinkle fries. Located in Five Points, Jack Brown's Beer and Burger Joint is known for their 100% American Wagyu beef burgers and their extensive tap list, but don't sleep on that side of crispy, crinkle fries.

6. 929 Kitchen & Bar

Looking for something outside of the norm? The Kimchi Cheese Fries from 929 Kitchen & Bar, located in The Vista, are loaded with cheese, pan-fried and topped with kimchi. Pair it with a Korean Fried Chicken Special or the Japche noodles - trust us, you'll be coming back for more.

7. Rush's or Zesto's

If you need fries and you need them fast & greasy (like one does), then head to one of the many Zesto's or Rush's locations across the Columbia region. These iconic, local chains are known for their burgers and ice cream to pair with your fries for that salty-sweet combo.

8. Black Rooster

Right along the river you'll see Black Rooster. Boasting an Italian menu, they serve a few of their dishes with their famous Beef Tallow fries. May we suggest the Steak Frites or the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich? Both pair well with city skyline views.

9. Burger Tavern 77

Of course we can't forget pretending to be a little healthy by ordering sweet potato fries. Indulge in one of Burger Tavern's specialty burgers (or chicken sandwiches) and order up the sweet potato fries as your side. They might just be better than the original fry.
